The happy couple has been engaged for a few months now and their news was met with joy and love ( and a lot of “finally”!) The wedding will take place in Spring 2026 and the hunt is on for the perfect venue. Cost is a thing, they both work so there is an expectation that they will contribute and this will not be a six-figure event. I hope they will focus on the purpose of the day and not have their heads turned by all that they see online and in social media feeds. Oh and if you think your phone is not listening, then you are a fool, my IG and FB are full of reels of speeches, proposals, flash mobs ( a solid no from my son.)
Us MOGS traditionally take more of a back seat in the planning process but I hope we can collectively share our stories, offer advice and get to enjoy this time as much as the Mothers of the Brides ( MOBS.)
